These easy Chocolate Strawberry Witch Brooms are the perfect Halloween treat! Fresh strawberries are dipped in chocolate, textured to look like broom bristles, and finished with a pretzel stick handle.
Prepare the strawberries: Wash the strawberries and dry them thoroughly. Cut the stem off so that strawberries lay flat, point facing up. Insert a wooden skewer into the top of each strawberry going halfway through the strawberry.
Melt the chocolate: Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, add 1 tsp coconut oil to thin it out.
Dip the strawberries: Holding each strawberry by the skewer, dip it into the melted chocolate, coating the strawberry completely. Let the excess chocolate drip off.
Create the broom bristles: Place the chocolate-covered strawberry on parchment paper. While the chocolate is still soft, gently drag a clean straw-cleaning brush vertically through the chocolate to create lines that look like broom bristles. Scrap chocolate off of the brush onto the rim of the melted chocolate bowl. Continue around the strawberry.
Remove the skewer: Allow the chocolate to set for a few minutes, then gently pull out the wooden skewer.
Add the handle: Dip 1/2 inch of a pretzel stick in the melted chocolate and insert into the opening where the skewer was.
Chill: Refrigerate the witch's brooms for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set.
